DESLUDGING AND CLEANING OF CRUDE OIL TANK D-302 AT 103 A – CONTRACT NO: 2014-01-01 BID NO: 12/2013 CLIENT : ZUEITINA OIL COMPANY
SCOPE OF WORK
The main scope of work is to Desludging and cleaning of Crude Oil Tank D302 at 103 A. To carry out the aforementioned work, we will use the INTECH S.R.S (Sludge Recovery System). The SRS will recover almost near to 98% of the hydrocarbon present in the sludge. After desludging with S.R.S., the inert residual will be pulled out and final washing will be carried out to clean the tank completely and make it gas free to be ready for final inspection. The scope of work will also include the following :
- The supply of Steam Generator for the provision of steam, minimum at 120 ⁰C, 3.0 Ton/h @ 3,5 bar
- The supply of Nitrogen Generator for the provision of nitrogen, min purity 95% @ min 350 Nm3/h. ≈ 85.000 liters of liquid nitrogen (will be offered as an optional).
- The supply of Compressor for the provision of compressed air, 35/40 lit/sec @ 6,0 bar, Air connection ¾” (will be offered as an optional).
- Supply of forklift
- The portion of the tank shell underneath the gasket (approx. 1mtr height) will not be cleaned as it is not reachable. 2. SRS PLANT DESCRIPTION S.R.S (Sludge Recovery System) is a Desludging method which is being used in Oil & Gas industry around the globe. It is based on the C.O.W. (Crude Oil Washing) method, i.e. an automated, mobile and modular, No Man Entry oil tank cleaning system. A distinctive feature of S.R.S. is its closed-loop cleaning system which heavily reduces the impact of tank cleaning operations on the environment. Such technology maximizes the safety and cost effectiveness of the tank cleaning process. The other features of SRS are:
- maximum recovery of the hydrocarbon phase contained in the sludge, (up to 98%) whose value often pays the overall cleaning operation;
- minimum quantity of material to be disposed of, just the inert portion saturated by water and inorganic matter.
- minimum tank downtime, the cleaning operation fluidizes from 200 to 400 t/day of sludge, depending on sludge quality;
- minimum overall cost of tank cleaning operations;
- best cost/benefits ratio;
- highest possible safety level of operations, according to the most recent CE regulations;
- elimination of Health and Safety risks run by the operators; their access, into the tank, is restricted to the final phase, when the tank internal atmosphere is neither flammable nor hazardous;
- environmental risks off; the System operates through a closed cycle SRS mainly consists of:
- A – Unit
- B – Unit
- Separator Tank
- Jet Washers
- O2 Monitor
